Home price chart widget: embeddable price-history chart
Choose a city and a period, copy the code, and the chart with its credit line pastes into any page as a single block.

One block of HTML holds it all: a figure with the chart as an SVG drawing, plus a short credit line below it. Paste that where your page editor accepts HTML, just as you would paste a table. Your page opens and loads nothing from this site, or from any other, so the chart shows offline as well and adds no tracking.
What you see is a copy of the series as it stood on the day you made it. Once a new month is published, come back, build the chart again and swap the code. The numbers behind the chart sit in the city tables inside the housing market data download.
A look at the chart's contents
The Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI) for the place is what that line plots: the worth of a home typical of the market's middle, smoothed and seasonally adjusted, in dollars for each month. The terracotta dot marks the final month of the period, September 2026 in the current periods, and the hollow dot marks the first. None of the figures are adjusted for inflation.
Months go back to January 2000 for most of the 292 cities. In 78 of those cities Zillow's series begins later, so "since 2000" starts at the city's first month. Each city page holds this chart with the US added for comparison. Examples are the Austin page, Seattle page, San Francisco page, Denver page, Los Angeles page, Dallas page, Houston page and San Diego.
Attribution that comes with the chart
The code includes a credit line naming the source, the place, the months covered and a link back to this site's page for the city. Zillow asks that its figures carry the words "Data Provided by Zillow Group", so please keep the line under the chart when you publish it. Restyling the font or the width is fine; the numbers should remain as they are.
How every number is built: methodology. The files are Zillow's own: Zillow Research data.
